Theatre & Choral Arts Teacher, 2012-2015
Over a three-year period, Ms. Vicino re-established a full theatre program from scratch. She created and developed curriculum for Drama I~Intro to Theatre, Drama II~Advanced Acting & Directing, Show Choir, Concert Choir, and Yearbook, producing and directing full-length musicals and plays, a Christmas variety show, Black History Month Talent Showcase, Spring Fine Arts Festival, as well as many smaller projects throughout the school year; truly re-envisioning the performing arts at Carroll. In the spring of 2015, under the leadership of Ms. Vicino, the entire Fine Arts Department worked together to produce the first Broadway Musical in decades. Ms. Vicino is one of those extremely rare educators who infuses creativity into each of her lessons...using techniques such as drama, poetry, literature, relational dynamics and movement she brings math, social studies, reading and grammar to life. |
